If you are using a 50ft or longer DVI cable to extend a DVI display to your source, you may see sparkles when it’s connected. When connected with the DVI Extender, that same cable can sustain 1280x1024 resolution up to 100ft and 1600x1200 resolution up to 80ft.

The M1-201-SA is a high-quality, uncompressed data link between a host processor video card and a display peripheral. Optical technology for this transmission stretches the performance beyond the limitations of copper wire with longer length, data security, negligible RFI/EMI and the elimination of costly analog distribution systems. The four (4) optical data, Red, Green, Blue and clock can be extended up to 500 meters (1,640ft) over LC duplex multi-mode fiber cables (two sets) at WUXGA (1,920x1,200) at 60Hz vertical refresh.
